WHO IS WELL GOOD MATE?
My name is Jess aka @wellgoodmate__ and I’m a tattoo artist based in London. I’ve been tattooing since 2020 and I specialise in illustrative, continuous line drawings - a style that can be applied to almost any subject matter! But I especially love designing gorgeous nudes, botanicals and flowers, hands, faces, and animals (to name a few!). Think lots of swirly, loopy bits that come together to create a lovely flowing tattoo.
I’m originally from the Norfolk countryside but have been in London for the past decade and work out of the gorgeous Blank Collective in Deptford and Soteria Studios in Dalston. Outside of tattooing I love making and creating, galleries, gigs, festivals and travelling - you can find me around the UK and beyond guesting in different studios on the regular.
One of my favourite projects in tattooing is the Self Love Club, where you can get yourself tattooed on yourself, and celebrate the skin you’re in! I’m currently expanding this concept and compiling a book of nude drawings and interviews - looking for more participants.
I’m constantly producing new flash but am always down to hear your ideas to come up with custom concepts. I work hard to create a welcoming environment, feedback is always appreciated and I will do what I can to accommodate any accessibility requirements or needs. I firmly believe we all deserve to feel comfortable and safe during the tattooing process!
